Mom’s 70th birthday party

The rest of Mom’s birthday week at Kealakekua Bay Bed and Breakfast party was fun.

Here I am walking on the grounds looking for a good place to paint.

Neil caught a Cane Spider in our bedroom.  This Cane spider must have been 5″ in diameter.  It moved super fast like a dog.  Yikes!!

My beautiful sweet sis.

Unfortunately we did not find any more artists 🙁  however, we did do a little schlolam canoing.

We also met some nice Hawaiians at mom’s party who days later took us on a very cool, but colorless submarine ride.

After a week of birthday celebration everyone went home except me, my kids Winston and Grace, my sister Stacie and her daughter Katie.  We rented a different house and I did a little painting by the pool.

A painting I started by the pool of our second house.

We also all went zip lining for the first time, it was off the charts fun!!

A real tree house! Line 7 leaves from here!

One of the last days just the kids and I visited and hiked The University of Hawaii’s Lyon Arboretum.

Hawaii was spectacularly beautiful. There is so much to see and paint in Hawaii.  It was truly a paradise.  It was a great trip, but there is not enough art for a Traveling Artist on the Big Island!!
